Sneek Peeks

Saturday, April 2, 2011

Goodness, finally have some time to update. Yippie! Last month was super busy and stressful. Thankfully, it tapered off a bit. So now, I can sit down, catch up on all things related to blog & photography.
Last month, I had the opportunity to photograph two newborn sessions. Excited, heck yes!! Nervous and anxious, nope not at all! Haha! Ok, who am I kidding. Of course!!!
Any photographer will tell you shooting newborns requires an enormous amounts of patience. Ha! Told myself I've got this characteristic covered! You look up 'patience' in the dictionary, you'll find my name. Alright, maybe not! Family and friends can attest that there isn't a single ounce of patience in my body.  Yet, some how I decided to tackle one of the most difficult category in photography. Must admit though somehow I managed to find that virtue. J, my assistant and hubby will corroborate this!  Albeit it only lasted during the photo shoot. Hey, it's called 'Patience is a virtue' for a reason. =) Enough of my babble though, here are some sneek peeks from my newborn shoots.

First up is baby Mahalee Danica ~ my goddaughter. The little princess belongs to my best friend and her hubby Spencer. Mahalee was only 2 days old when we shot her session. She's such a cutie, but will let you judge for yourself.

My second newborn session was with the Ruiz Family. I took their family and maternity photos back in January. Unfortunately, the beginning of the year was soo hectic, I never found the time to blog them.
However, I'm sure they are super anxious to see a few sneeks of their baby boy.
Baby Bryant, 13 days old

Smiles of Joy: Jesse & Calvin

Saturday, July 3, 2010

****EDIT****  Unfortunately, due to personal reasons of my Sister-in-Law, I have to remove most of the photos from my blogsite.

My apologies for being absent. The husband and I took a two week vacation to celebrate my big 30. And we were also able to squeeze in some family time, as well, since the husband sister Jesse was getting married.
It was a beautiful wedding, held in their parents flower garden. However a few days prior to the big day, we were all fearful that we had to cancel the outdoor ceremony. Days prior, it had been overcast and rainy. Not to mention the forecast predicted more rain showers. By some miracle though, the heavens had mercy upon us. Blue sky and sunshine, we couldn't have asked for more. Now on the beautiful photos from the ceremony.

Jesse & Calvin, Thank you for trusting me and allowing me to take your wedding photos. Hopefully, they are to your liking. Congratulations again. And Calvin, welcome to the family. =)

The wait is over! Kincaid and Austin Family, here are more photos of your family session.

Thank you for being my guinea pigs, and trusting me to take your family photos. Have to admit it was a bit challenging for me, but I think I did ok. =)

A Little Bit of Everything...

Saturday, March 20, 2010

Wow, it's been awhile since I've written a blog post. Just haven't had the time to shoot very much. I know, I know, I'm full of excuses, but...actually no but I don't have a reason. But my goal is to shoot every day, just so I can practice my craft. To help me with this, I will be be signing up for the Picture Spring Workshop. It's a 30 day workshop, that is conducted online. Not only that, but it's pretty inexpensive as well. Hopefully this class will help my creativity, motivate me to take a photo each each day, and to allow me to inspirations in my daily routine. To read more about this workshop, just click here. In addition to that, I will be attending my first photography smugmug meetup. I'm a little nervous about attending. Why?  First, I'm not a professional photographer, secondly, I wouldn't even call myself an amateur, and third ....I don't know. I am allowed to be nervous. Not to mention, the group leader of this meetup is Jasmine Star. She's such an amazing photographer. Look her up!
Here's a sneak peek of a family session, I shot last weekend in San Diego. My good friend, Marlith, as me to take some photos of her family, while they were in town for her husband's CoC (Change of Command). It was a bit challenging for me, since I've never shot a family session before. I posted a sneek peak for her on facebook, but I know Marlith is dying to see another one!!! Enjoy!

On Christmas Day, my sister and I did a random photos shoot. After over eating on all the delicious food, we decided to go for a walk. Her In-Laws, have the neat little trail behind their home. I must say the light was just heavenly. Here are some photos from this shoot. Nita, Nat & their furbaby Kobe Winston.
